As we near the zero’s of celsius already, everybody in the Netherlands was waiting for 3voor12 to announce the song of the year shortlist. Marius has stormed the world already with the digital version of his Things We Did E.P., but as of thursday november 17th the vinyl will be available. Supporting Com Truise at his Paradiso gig, Marius will do a live show to celebrate the release of these 140 grams of solid gold (well, vinyl). Vinyls are for sale before and after the show! A good reason to come and see Com Truise and Marius and go home with a nice record for your technics.

Last week we went to Berlin to celebrate the opening of the Soundscape office over there. It turned out to be an awesome Party in Backyard, lining-up Palmbomen, Renkas, Marius and HyperHyper. Palmbomen was selected as one of the two Dutch participants for the Red Bull Music Academy 2011, which will take place in Madrid. Saturday he will leave Berlin for the Spanish capital to indulge in an energydrink-fueled musical extravaganza for 2 weeks. Combining “interesting” with “fun”, this promises to be a lasting and inspiring experience. Updates from Madrid soon!
Renkas and Palmbomen do n8 (Amsterdam Museum Night) next weekend! Renkas will perform live between the impressionist paintings in the van Gogh Museum. That should make a beautiful combination. For those who don’t have enough, there is an afterparty in Sugar Factory, where Palmbomen will dj. Tell your parents you went to the museum!
